Recognising Thomas Cooke

Did you miss the BBC's Look North article on Thomas Cooke (1807-1868) who was born in Allerthorpe and founded T. Cooke & Sons, the instrument company in York?   Follow the title link for a re-run of their article.

We are extremely pleased to tell everyone of the very kind donation of an engraved stone to recognise Allerthorpe as the birthplace of Thomas Cooke.   The stone was supplied and dressed by Allan at Timeless Memorials in Hull. 

 We are extremely grateful to Timeless Memorials for this generous donation which will forever recognise one of Allerthorpe's famous former residents.
