June 20, 2020
York Rotary have an annual fundraising walk on Saturday 20 June 2020. This year their chosen charity is Safer Travel (Caroline’s Rainbow Foundation).
Caroline’s Rainbow Foundation started after the tragic death of Caroline Ann Stuttle whilst she was on her gap year in 2002. Marjorie Marks of Allerthorpe (Caroline’s mother) and Richard (Caroline’s bother) decided to set up the charity to try to prevent what happened to Caroline happening to another backpacker and their family.
There are two options for the walk around Ryedale and Hovingham – 7 miles commencing at 10am and 4 miles starting at 11am. Both start at The Village Hall, Hovingham, York YO62 4JY.
The walk costs £20 and includes a buffet lunch and glass of wine.
